Sr. Anupama ministers among the tribal people of Assam state in India. She works to promote self-reliance among the economically deprived, especially women. By forming Self-Help Groups, she trains them to network among themselves, save money, and begin micro-enterprise businesses such as shop-keeping, cattle raising, and tailoring. Her work covers 10 villages and has a great impact upon the people of the area. |
