New Leadership in the Mission Office After 15 grace-filled years as Mission Director, Sr. Valerie Sweeney will be moving into a new ministry at the end of December, 2010. Sr. Marie Manning will coordinate activities in the Mission Office beginning in January. We wish both Sisters God’s blessings in their new ministries. |

Sr. Vandana, a missionary in north India, passed into eternity very quietly on Friday, December 17th at the age of 71. Sr. Vandana fell on November 26th and was admitted in Holy Family Hospital, Patna. Sister underwent surgery for a broken hip. The last 21 days of her stay in the hospital were intensely painful as she could neither lie down straight due to her asthma nor move her limbs due to the fracture. She died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest at 10:30 PM.
Sr. Vandana was a dedicated high school teacher for more than 40 years. Her gentle and loving spirit touched all who met her. Even in her later years she stayed active by teaching Geography to the candidates and catechism to the primary students.
